A crisp salad is perfect for a hot summer day, especially one that is full of delicious vegetables and a simple dressing. The Market salad from Giolitti Deli is made with romaine lettuce, radicchio, Belgian endive, fennel, avocado, sweet bell peppers, carrot, cucumber, lupine beans and dried cranberries for the ideal summer dinner! The salad is dressed simply with extra-virgin olive oil to bring all the ingredients together.
Spaghetti al Pesto
While there’s never a wrong time of year to eat pasta, spaghetti with pesto is best in the summertime! Summer is basil season, and every good pesto should be made with plenty of freshly picked basil for the best taste. At Giolitti Deli, we make our pesto with toasted pine nuts, fresh garlic, basil that is washed and dried in a salad spinner, fresh baby spinach or arugula, salt, extra virgin olive oil, pure olive oil or vegetable oil, and finely grated Reggiano or Grana Padana parmesan cheese.
